Schneider Electric Easergy MiCOM P541 Numerical Current Differential Protection Relay
Schneider Electric Easergy MiCOM P541 Numerical Current Differential Protection Relay is designed to provide fast and selective protection for overhead transmission lines and underground cable systems. It uses high-speed current differential protection to detect internal faults while maintaining stability during external faults, making it suitable for high-voltage, extra-high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage transmission networks.
The MiCOM P541 communicates between line terminals through longitudinal communication channels, allowing accurate comparison of current values at both ends of the protected circuit. This ensures rapid fault detection and dependable tripping for internal faults while avoiding unnecessary operation during out-of-zone disturbances. The relay also includes a comprehensive range of backup protection functions that improve system reliability if the communication channel becomes unavailable.
