ABB Protection Relays

ABB’s Relion family covers protection and control applications across power generation and distribution. The portfolio includes feeder, transformer, motor, generator, line differential, voltage, busbar, capacitor bank, interconnection and arc-flash protection, depending on the relay family and selected configuration. ABB’s current range includes platforms such as REX615 and REX640, alongside established 615, 620 and other Relion families.

The Reyrolle portfolio covers medium- and low-voltage protection requirements including overcurrent, feeder, transformer, motor, voltage, arc, line and auxiliary protection. Siemens’ current Reyrolle 5 platform includes models such as 7SR51 for feeder protection, 7SR54 for transformer differential protection and 7SR57 for motor protection.

Schneider Electric’s protection portfolio includes PowerLogic P3, P5 and P7, along with MiCOM and other installed protection relay families.

PowerLogic P3 is a compact medium-voltage protection platform covering applications from basic overcurrent to more advanced protection, with communication options including IEC 61850. PowerLogic P5 is designed for more demanding MV protection requirements and covers functions from overcurrent through differential and arc-flash protection.
