Schneider Electric Easergy MiCOM P543 Numerical Current Differential Protection Relay
Schneider Electric Easergy MiCOM P543 Numerical Current Differential Protection Relay is designed to provide fast and dependable protection for overhead transmission lines and underground cable systems. It combines high-speed current differential protection with integrated distance protection, giving utilities a complete line protection solution in a single relay.
The MiCOM P543 continuously compares the current measured at both ends of the protected line, allowing it to detect internal faults with excellent speed and accuracy while remaining stable during external faults. In addition to differential protection, the relay incorporates five-zone distance protection, overcurrent protection and auto-reclose functions, providing reliable backup protection whenever communication channels are unavailable.
Designed for single circuit breaker applications, the MiCOM P543 supports direct fibre optic and multiplexed communication channels for end-to-end line protection. It also integrates easily with digital substations through IEC 61850 communication and advanced automation features, making it suitable for both new installations and transmission system upgrades.
