Schneider VAMP 300 Series Protection and Control Relays are used for feeder, motor, generator and transformer protection in medium-voltage power systems. The range includes four main models: VAMP 300F, VAMP 300M, VAMP 300G and VAMP 300T.

Each model is meant for a specific application, while the main operating platform remains similar across the range. The relays handle protection, electrical measurements, breaker control, event recording and communication with SCADA or plant automation systems.

Optional arc flash protection can be added where fast fault detection inside the switchgear is required. It can be used in a new arc protection system or added to an existing VAMP arc flash setup.

  • VAMP 300F Feeder Protection Relay

VAMP 300F is used for incoming feeders, outgoing feeders, overhead lines, underground cables and busbar sections. It handles the main protection and breaker control requirements of medium-voltage feeder panels.

Common installations include utility substations, industrial power systems, power plants, marine systems and offshore facilities.

VAMP 300M Motor Protection Relay

VAMP 300M is used for medium-voltage motors and motor feeder cables. It monitors motor current, thermal condition, electrical faults and operating status.

Optional RTD interface units can be used for motor winding and bearing temperature measurements. These values can also be sent to the plant automation system.

VAMP 300G Generator Protection Relay

VAMP 300G is used for generator differential protection, generator transformer protection and other generator protection duties. It is commonly applied to medium-sized generators rated up to approximately 150 MW.

An external RTD module can also be added where generator temperature monitoring is required.

VAMP 300T Transformer Protection Relay

VAMP 300T is used for two-winding power transformer protection. It covers differential, short-circuit, thermal overload, earth fault and voltage protection requirements.

It is commonly used in transformer protection panels, industrial substations, utility networks and power plants.
