Schneider VAMP 210 Protection and Control Relay is used for the protection and monitoring of small and medium-sized generators, including generator systems rated up to approximately 100 MW. It covers the main protection duties required in generator panels, such as overcurrent, earth fault, voltage, frequency and current unbalance protection.
The relay can be used with solidly earthed, high-resistance earthed and low-resistance earthed generator systems. Optional arc flash protection is available for installations where fast fault detection inside the switchgear is required.
VAMP 210 also records events, fault values and disturbance data. This gives maintenance teams useful information when checking the cause of a trip, shutdown or abnormal generator condition. For projects requiring generator differential protection, the VAMP 210 can be used together with the VAMP 265 relay.
Communication options depend on the selected relay version and may include IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870 and Profibus. Settings and relay records can be accessed through VAMPSET software.
