Schneider MiCOM P220 PowerLogic Motor Protection Relay is a numerical relay designed to protect low- and medium-voltage motors used in industrial plants, utility substations, and critical process applications. The relay continuously monitors motor current, voltage, and temperature to protect against overloads, short circuits, earth faults, phase imbalance, and other abnormal operating conditions. It also includes features such as anti-backspin protection, high inertia load management, trip circuit supervision, and circuit breaker failure protection to improve the safety and availability of motor-driven systems.

MiCOM P220 uses a true RMS-based thermal model to calculate motor heating more accurately, even when harmonic currents are present. Available in both compact and rack-mounted versions, the relay can be integrated easily into new installations as well as retrofit projects.
