Schneider VAMP 300G PowerLogic Generator Protection and Control Relay is a multifunction numerical relay designed for protecting and controlling generators in industrial and utility power systems. It combines generator protection, differential protection, control, metering, and communication functions in one compact unit, making it suitable for medium-sized power generation applications.
The relay is designed for generators up to approximately 150 MW and provides dependable protection against internal electrical faults as well as abnormal operating conditions. It can also protect generator block transformers, making it a practical choice for complete generator protection schemes. Detailed measurements, event recording, and disturbance recording help operators analyse faults and improve system reliability.
An optional RTD interface allows temperature monitoring of generator windings and bearings, providing additional protection against overheating. With built-in Ethernet communication, native IEC 61850 support, and a wide range of communication protocols, VAMP 300G integrates easily with SCADA and substation automation systems.
