Schneider Electric PowerLogic™ A3-S12P Arc Flash Protection Extension Unit

The Schneider Electric PowerLogic™ A3-S12P Arc Flash Protection Extension Unit is designed to expand the protection capability of the PowerLogic™ A3 arc flash protection system in larger electrical installations. It works together with the A3-F series main units, providing additional optical sensor inputs for applications where more protection zones are required across multiple switchgear sections.

The A3-S12P supports up to twelve optical arc sensors, allowing arc faults to be detected across a wider area while maintaining fast response times. It communicates with the A3-F main unit through the dedicated system bus and receives its operating power through the same connection, reducing wiring and simplifying installation.

Its compact design, flexible mounting options and simple rotary switch configuration make the A3-S12P suitable for both new installations and retrofit projects. The extension unit is commonly used in low and medium-voltage switchgear where scalable arc flash protection is needed to improve equipment protection and personnel safety.
