Schneider Electric Easergy MiCOM P542 Numerical Current Differential Protection Relay
Schneider Electric Easergy MiCOM P542 Numerical Current Differential Protection Relay is designed to provide fast and dependable protection for overhead transmission lines and underground cable systems. It delivers high-speed current differential protection by continuously comparing currents at both ends of the protected line, allowing rapid detection and isolation of internal faults while maintaining stability during external faults.
The MiCOM P542 is suitable for high-voltage, extra-high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage transmission networks where reliable line protection is critical. In addition to its differential protection functions, the relay offers integrated backup protection, helping maintain system security even if the communication channel is temporarily unavailable. Optional distance backup protection further enhances protection coverage for demanding applications.
