UA75 3-pole contactors are designed for capacitor bank switching applications where inrush current peaks do not exceed 100 times the nominal RMS current. The permissible power ratings, based on operational voltage and ambient temperature near the contactor, are provided in the table below, along with the maximum acceptable inrush current (Î) values. To ensure proper operation, capacitors must be fully discharged—residual voltage at the terminals must not exceed 50 V—prior to re-energization when the contactor is closing.
Under these conditions, the contactors offer an electrical durability of up to 100,000 operating cycles. The UA.. series contactors feature a robust block-type design and are equipped with three main poles. They operate on AC control circuits utilizing a laminated magnet system and support a wide range of accessories to meet various installation requirements.
